Ken Grimes

Ken Grimes is a Managing Director with the Black Angel Tech Fund (BATF), a venture capital firm focused on making seed and early stage investments in start-up technology companies blackangeltechfund.com. 

Ken began his career in wireless telecom. Ken’s career in finance began with Merrill Lynch’s Telecommunications & Technology Investment Banking team. Ken has worked with investment firms that managed more than $35 billion in equities and fixed income securities

Ken graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Physics.   Ken also completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. An ardent supporter of a STEM initiatives, Ken serves on the board of directors and advisory board for several non-profits focused on STEM and education.
